What is Normal?
The student loan crisis is impacting almost every family in America. It is hurting our economy and way of life. Chances are it is impacting you as a parent; and if you don't plan ahead correctly, it will impact your child.
College is more expensive than ever and you're being told:
1) Student loans are good debt.
2) You can't go to college without debt.
3) It will be worth it.
Student loan debt has become part of our culture. It's negatively affecting real people. It's gone unnoticed for the past 20 years. But finally, it's starting to get recognized as the financial crisis that it is. Yet families, high school counselors, and college financial aid offices don't know how to avoid the student loan crisis...or at least minimize its devastating impact.
That is normal.
